Background Information: In January 2022, the Estates & Facilities service, as part of the Corporate Transformation Programme, committed to deliver a Void Improvement Plan. The focus of this work was to reduce the number of voids sitting empty for long periods of time and to have a clear understanding whilst working within budgets as to what repair works should be prioritised whilst a property is vacant. The project has taken into consideration current practices elsewhere, legislative requirements and the need to manage customer expectations.
