Background Information: Repair works are required to 4-storey maisonettes in the Hawkins Road Estate area and 3-storey flats in Ekin Road. Essential works are specified by a structural engineer following extensive site investigations. Works include repairs to walls, walkways, balconies, handrails and balustrades, concrete repairs, emergency lighting, and redecoration. In view of the value of the works they are being procured outside the Council's existing long term building maintenance contracts.
