Background Information: The Controlled Waste Regulations 2012 were enacted in April 2012. Officers have worked with the County council to agree a process for implementation of this legislation which requires many enterprises for example schools, charity shops, colleges and universities to pay disposal charges as well as collection charges for waste collected by local authorities.
