Background Information: The City Council is currently reviewing the Local Plan and has already consulted upon Issues and Options. One of the next stages is to assess potential sites for allocation for different types of land use such as employment, housing, retail, leisure.A draft methodology has been produced to assess the sites, for discussion and approval. The main assessment tool will be a pro forma with criteria to assess different aspects of the sites. This builds upon the pro forma used for the assessment of housing sites in the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) and takes into account the requirements of the Sustainability Appraisal.
