Background Information: It is a statutory requirement for the Statement of Accounts to be approved by resolution of a committee of the Council (or full Council) by 30 September. Before the District Auditor gives his formal opinion on the accounts there is a requirement to present an Annual Governance Report and to obtain a letter of management representation.
