Background Information: The Streets to Home service is a new approach to providing assistance to people who are street homeless. The service has been jointly commissioned with Cambridgeshire County Council and has been subject to a tendering exercise. The decision required is to endorse the City Council’s contribution to the overall budget and to delegate to the Head of Housing the authority to agree the award of the contract to the winning bidder. The value of the contract is £1,345,333 per annum of which £371,364 is the annual commitment of Cambridge City Council. The contract will run for an initial three year period with options to extend for two periods of two years.
