Background Information: Over the next 36 months, the City Council will be asked to input into a number of statutory processes associated with the submission and examination of new infrastructure. This report seeks to provide, where appropriate, for the Joint Director of Planning and Economic Development to act on behalf of the Council and to determine under delegated powers, the Council’s position in respect of specific matters at defined stages in those statutory processes, where statutory timescales or practical considerations would make securing a decision through members impractical.
