Background Information: This report will set out proposed principles and a broad approach for a new Climate Change Strategy 2021-2026, ahead of public consultation during autumn 2020. A finalised Climate Change Strategy for the next five years will be presented for approval by the Executive Councillor at Environment and Community Scrutiny Committee on March 2021. The report will provide an update on progress during 2019/20 on the Council's existing Climate Change Strategy 2016-202, including initiatives to reduce carbon emissions from the Council's estate and operations, and . wider actions to reduce carbon emissions by residents and businesses and to manage climate change risks.
