Background Information: Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) funding is now allocated by government to district councils through the Better Care Fund, with the expectation that it is used flexibly to fund wider health, social care and housing objectives. The policy has been developed jointly with the other Cambridgeshire districts, with the aim that each district adopts their own version of the policy whilst ensuring as much consistency as possible across the county. This would replace Cambridge City Council’s existing Private Sector Housing Grants & Loans policy 2007.
