Background Information: The public art S106 funding report to Community Services Scrutiny Committee in January 2018 set out the arrangements and selection criteria for the 2018 funding round for small-scale public art grants (normally up to £15,000 each). Applications were invited over 8 weeks in February-April 2018 and over 20 have been received. Whilst, the City has an adopted Public Art SPD, changes to the Planning system and also the imminent adoption of the Local Plan 2014 means a new document is required to support it. Therefore, it is proposed to research and prepare a comprehensive Public Art Strategy 2018 for Cambridge.
