Background Information: The City Council has been collecting specific S106 contributions for investment in swimming pools from all the major growth sites over the years. This report seeks approval for where these funds could be invested within the City's Pools portfolio to enhance, modernise and increase the pool provision. Specifically to look at capital investment opportunities to address the deficit of pool swimming pool water space highlighted in the City and South Cambs combined indoor sport strategy 2016. To seek a direction for investments at Jesus Green Lido to maintain this pool as an iconic outdoor facility and one of the country's top five lidos, along with provision of facilities from the Rouse Ball Pavilion within a new build at the pool. For investment at Abbey Pool, with a focus on new family and children's activities within the pool hall. For investment at Kings Hedges pool to improve and expand the changing room provision and add further renewable energy options at the pool.
