Background Information: The emerging Local Plan allocates the area covered by this document as the primary focus for meeting comparison retail needs, as well as public realm improvements. The SPD will look at the key issues and development opportunities in the area. The Council has produced this draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to guide the development of the Fitzroy / Burleigh Street / Grafton Area of Major Change. The report sets out the process for the SPD, including findings of workshops with the developers and with local stakeholders. Once agreed for consultation, public consultation is likely to take place in Spring 2017.
