Background Information: The Council submits an annual budget strategy to inform the next year's budget process in the form of a formal plan known as the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS). This looks at current funding, identifies current assumptions and risks together with any spending pressures, For 2017/18 the MTFS will include an Efficiency Plan for submission to the Government to ensure the Council's grant is agreed in advance for a four year period allowing improved financial planning.
