Background Information: The City Council currently has a Single Equality Scheme for the period 2012-2015, which sets out 6 objectives and a range of actions the City Council is taking to promote equality of opportunity, tackle discrimination and foster good relations between different communities. This report will present a new draft Single Equality Scheme to cover the period 2015-2018. Following public consultation in the Spring, the final scheme will be presented for approval to Strategy and Resources Committee in July 2015.
