Background Information: The new Local Plans for Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire set out the sustainable development strategy for the greater Cambridge area. The delivery of this strategy involves more development in Cambridge early on in the plan period, with larger sites in South Cambridgeshire being delivered later on. Taking both Councils’ housing trajectories together there is a rolling 5 year supply throughout the plan period This Memorandum of Understanding will formalise the joint approach that has taken place under the duty to co-operate and which is already included in the submitted Local Plans.
