Executive post

The responsibilities of the Deputy Leader are set out in the Executive Procedure Rules in Part 4 of the Constitution.

·       Statutory Deputy for the Leader and deputy leadership of Group

·       Lead on communications

·       Lead on liaison with the CLP

·       Specific roles as deputised by the leader and agreed with the leader and the Executive

·       Focus on supporting the Leader with implementation of Council and Group policies agreed and promoted in the Council’s corporate objectives and CLP Manifesto

·       Lead on Economy and skills, including relationships with jobs, skills and education providers.

·       Learning and training, support into and between work

·       Business liaison
