reinvestment of the capital receipt in the provision of additional affordable
housing.

Not applicable.
Scrutiny Considerations:
The Committee received a report from the Head of Property
Services regarding the sale of 7 Severn Place.
Members made the following comments in response to the
report.
i.
Concerns were raised
that the property could be left empty until the developer has a larger pocket
of land to develop.
ii.
Members
expressed satisfaction that the receipts would be used for affordable housing
provision.
iii.
Some concerns
were raised that the property value had not been tested on the open market.
iv.
Members agreed
that the property in question, a semi detached house, was not best suited to
it’s location.
The Committee resolved unanimously to endorse the
recommendations.
The Executive Councillor approved the recommendation.
Conflicts of interest declared by the Executive Councillor (and any
dispensations granted)
Not applicable.
