Exclusion of the Public

The meeting will contain information during which the public is likely to be excluded from the meeting subject to determination by the Committee following consideration of a public interest test.  The exclusion would be made under paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of part 1 of schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

 

Minutes:

The Committee agreed to exclude the public on the grounds that if they were present, there would be disclosure to them of information defined as exempt from publication by virtue of paragraph 1, 2 and 3 of part 1 of schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

The Committee considered the applications received for the role of Chief Executive and a long list of nine applicants was agreed.

The Committee considered and agreed the arrangements and questions required for the long list interviews to be held on 5 and 6 November.

To consider the arrangements for the assessment and final interview stage.

To consider the recruitment arrangements and process for assessment stage and final interview stages in appointing a Chief Executive.

 

Minutes:

The Committee received an update on the proposed arrangements for the assessment and final interview stage.  This would include a staff panel, written exercise, meeting with SMT, psychometric and reasoning tests, media exercise, Partner Panel, presentation to Councillors, opportunity to meet candidates (subject to restrictions) and final interview.

 

The Head of HR would speak to the Leader about including the opportunity to meet the Interim Chief Executive.

The next meeting is scheduled for 9.30am on Thursday 5 November continuing on Friday 6 November to interview long listed candidates for the post of Chief Executive.

The next meeting will be on Thursday 5 November, continuing on Friday 6 November, to interview long listed candidates for the post of Chief Executive.  A revised start time of 9.15am on Thursday 5 November was agreed.
