Exclusion of the Public

The meeting will contain information during which the public is likely to be excluded from the meeting subject to determination by the Committee following consideration of a public interest test.  The exclusion would be made under paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of part 1 of schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

 

Minutes:

The Committee agreed to exclude the public on the grounds that if they were present, there would be disclosure to them of information defined as exempt from publication by virtue of paragraph 1, 2 and 3 of part 1 of schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

The minutes of the meeting held on 29 October 2020 were agreed.

To interview long list candidates for the Chief Executive role.

Minutes:

The Committee interviewed nine long listed candidates for the Chief Executive role over the 5 and 6 November 2020

To short list candidates for the assessment and final interview stages

Following the conclusion of the long list interviews, to shortlist candidates for the assessment and final interview stage of the recruitment process.

Minutes:

Following the conclusion of the long list interviews on the 6 November the Committee short listed five candidates for the assessment stage of the recruitment process for the Chief Executive role.

Following the conclusion of the first stage of the assessments on the 12 November the Committee short listed four candidates to undertake further assessments and the final interviews.

To consider the arrangements for the assessment and final interview stage.

To consider the recruitment arrangements and process for assessment stage and final interview stages in appointing a Chief Executive.

Minutes:

The Committee considered and agreed arrangements for the assessment and final interview stages at the meetings of the 6 and 12. 

 

The Committee considered and agreed the arrangements and questions required for the final interviews to be held on 27 November at the meeting on 24 November.

Agenda and Date for Next Meeting

The next meeting of the Committee will be held on 12 November 2020 to consider the final interview arrangements. The timing of the meeting is to be confirmed.
