The meeting will contain information during which the public is likely to be excluded from the meeting subject to determination by the Committee following consideration of a public interest test.  The exclusion would be made under paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of part 1 of schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

The Committee agreed to exclude the public on the grounds that if they were present, there would be disclosure to them of information defined as exempt from publication by virtue of paragraph 1, 2 and 3 of part 1 of schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

To approve the minutes of the meetings held on 11 and 17/20 August.

The minutes of the meetings held on 11 and 17/20 August were agreed.

The draft advertisement, focus for job description and executive search arrangements, proposed timetable and assessment stages were outlined by the Head of Human Resources and Managing director of Penna. 

Following consideration by the Committee the Head of Human Resources and Managing Director of Penna were asked to arrange for the advert to be finalised and arrangements made to advertise the role, including a website.

Arrangements were agreed for revising and finalising the job description.

The Head of Human Resources would finalise further dates in the recruitment process and notify the Committee.

Following advertising and executive search, the next meeting of the Committee would be to receive applications and select a long list of candidates.

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday 29 October at 5.30pm to long list candidates for the post of Chief Executive.
