Apologies were received from Councillors Ashton, Dryden, Lee and Page-Croft.

There were no declarations of interest.

There were no outstanding matters to report back.

The secretary of the RedCross Areas Residents Association asked:

How can an area like ours Red Cross Lane, Stansgate Avenue, Greenlands CB2 that is swamped by issues coming into our three tiny cul-de-sacs to access hospitals/CBC (plus travelling through from Trumpington) get support to Design Out the Problems?

County Councillor Beckett replied that from a Highways perspective, he will be picking this issue up with the police.

Councillor S Davies advised that the residents should continue to document what they are experiencing and passing it on to the authorities/Police.  The city council’s job as the planning authority is not to compound the situation in this locality nor to replicate what has occurred in other locations.  Cllr Davies encouraged the residents to keep the pressure on.

PC Horsfall for Cambridgeshire Police (present for the next agenda item) informed the meeting that the Police did patrol regularly, but encouraged the residents to continue to be actively reporting incidents for example anti social moped driving.

The Committee received an update from the Council’s anti-social behaviour  team and the local Police on the Neighbourhood Profile for the South Area since it had been last reported on 6 September 2021.

The discussion focussed on anti social driving in Church End with councillors agreeing to continue to pursue solutions across the city and county councils and on Park and Ride sites continuing to attract anti social behaviour.

A question from Trumpington Residents Association regarding the simplicity of using on-line Police eforms was responded to by the Police advising that a fix to the current eform was being progressed.

Councillors noted the continuation of the police priorities for the South Area as described in the report and the officers noted the councillors discussion.

In supporting the proposals in the report, councillors noted that the grant decisions would be taken by the officer following the meetings of the four area committees.

Councillors thanked Jackie for her work for the Council and wished her a happy retirement.
