Minutes:
The Committee received an application for
full planning permission.
The application
sought approval for Change of use from A1 (Shop) to A3/A5 (Restaurant/hot
food takeaway) and installation of an extraction fan exhaust unit to rear
elevation following demolition of existing rear lean-to.
The
Committee noted that the revised NPPF was pertinent to this application.
The Committee
expressed a desire to see the clock on the front of the building retained as a
link to the history of the area. An informative would be added to this affect.
The Committee:
Unanimously resolved to grant the application for planning
permission in accordance with the officer recommendation, for the reasons set
out in the officer report, and subject to the conditions recommended by the
officers including the informative above.
Informative to be
added to the decision notice to seek to require the retention of the existing
clock on the frontage of the building.
