Response to DEFRA consultation on Biodiversity Net Gain

Why the decision had to be made (and any alternative options):

DEFRA are carrying out consultation on Biodiversity Net Gain between 11th January and 4th April 2022 which the Council should respond to.

The Executive Councillor’s decision(s):

To confirm that the consultation response set out in Appendix 1 of this decision should be made.

Reasons for the decision:

To provide the views of Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council on the technical delivery options for Biodiversity Net Gain from November 2023.
