Matter for Decision:

To appoint Anthony Wieser to the Non-Councillor post to

the Conservators of the River Cam.

 

Any alternative options considered and rejected:

None.

 

 

Reason(s) for the decision including any background papers considered:

This post become available due to a resignation of one of

the conservators during their three-year appointment

which started in January 2019. Therefore, this post will be

filled up to the end of December 2021.

An Urgent Decision under part 3 section 9, para 2 was

necessary as there are no meetings of the Council to

approve the recommendation of the selection panel in

order for the successful candidate to attend the April

meeting of the Conservators of the River Cam. 

 

Conflicts of interest and dispensations granted by the Chief Executive:

None.

 

Other Comments:

The Executive Councillor for Planning Policy and Open

Spaces, the Chair of the Planning and Transport

Committee and spokesperson for Open Spaces were all

consulted and supported the proposed decision.
