Matter for Decision:

To approve the Business Plans 20/21 for Greater Cambridge Planning Service and Building Control Shared Services

Why the decision had to be made (and any alternative options):

In response to the Government’s announcement on limiting social contact due to the COVID-19 virus the decision was taken to cancel the Planning and Transport meeting on 24 March.

The Executive Councillor’s decision(s):

The Executive Councillor for Planning Policy and Open Spaces agrees to:

1. Approve the Business Plans for each of the Shared Services attached as Appendices hereto; and
2. Authorise the Shared Services Management Board to approve final amendments to the Business Plans in line with comments received from all three partner councils.

Reasons for the decision:

An out of cycle decision is required to approve the plans for the start of the new financial year

Scrutiny consideration:

The Chair and Spokesperson of Planning and Transport Scrutiny Committee were consulted prior to the action being authorised.
