Scrutiny
Considerations
The Committee received
a report from the Assistant Director Development (Place).
The Assistant Director Development (Place) said the following in
response to Members’ questions:
i.
Confirmed that the information which would be
published on the council’s website regarding the housing development programme
would be an abridged form of this officer report and it would not replace the
reports being brought to Housing Scrutiny Committee.
ii.
Acknowledged the distress caused to Davey Road
residents and apologised for this. An engagement and communication plan was being prioritised and meetings would take place with
residents to provide them with information about next steps in the process.
iii.
The proposal to include Davey Road and Brackyn Road within the housing redevelopment plan was
because of the condition of the properties. Advised that the urgent works
regarding fire / damp work would be undertaken. If the recommendation to
include these properties within the redevelopment programme, then an indicative
timeline on next steps and an engagement plan would be provided to
residents.
The Committee resolved by 5 votes to 0 with 3 abstentions to endorse the
recommendations.
The Executive Councillor
approved the recommendations.
