The Committee received an application for full planning permission.

The application sought approval for the erection of 5 x one bed dwellings with associated landscaping following the demolition of the existing bungalow on site.

The Committee received a representation in objection to the application from a representative of Gainsborough Close Residents Association.

The representation covered the following issues:

       i.          Objected to the proposed houses opening onto, and therefore getting access by, a privately owned path.

     ii.          Queried if the Council would assume maintenance responsibility for the path if planning approval was given to the application.

   iii.          Suggested construction work would block the path so queried how access would be retained.

The Committee:

Resolved (by 7 votes to 1) to grant the application for planning permission in accordance with the officer recommendation, for the reasons set out in the officer report, and subject to the conditions recommended by the officers.
