sought approval to subdivide the
rearmost section of the garden to accommodate a three-storey building
consisting of three one-bedroom flats.
Mr Whitehead (Applicant) addressed the Committee in support of the
application.
In response to Councillor’s questions, the Principal Planning Officer
proposed an amendment to the Officer’s recommendation that the reason for refusal should be on the grounds of a
lack of private amenity space.
This amendment was carried
nem con.
The Committee:
Resolved (by 6 votes to 1 with 1 abstention) to refuse the
application for planning permission in accordance with the officer
recommendation, for the reasons set out in the officer report, and amended
above.
