Apologies were received from Councillor Sargeant and Councillor Massey (alternate).

Members declared if any of the candidates were known to them and in what capacity.

All report(s) for this meeting contain information during which the public is likely to be excluded from the meeting subject to determination by the Committee following consideration of a public interest test.  The exclusion would be made under paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of part 1 of schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

The Committee agreed to exclude the public on the grounds that if they were present, there would be disclosure to them of information defined as exempt from publication by virtue of paragraph 1, 2 and 3 of part 1 of schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

The minutes of the meeting held on the 5 February 2020 were agreed as a true and accurate record.

To consider and longlist applications for the Chief Executive role.

The Committee considered the applications received for the Chief Executive role and a long list of seven applicants was agreed.

The Committee considered the arrangements which would be required for the long list interviews on 24 March.  The 25 March date would be cancelled.  The draft questions would be circulated for agreement. 

In light of the current Coronavirus (COVID -19) situation these arrangements would be considered further at the meeting on 24 March.

The next meeting of the Committee would be held on Tuesday 24 March to interview long list candidates for the role of Chief Executive.
